NEC, arena and stadium coach hire in Birmingham is a timed drop-off and a timed return for a group going to a named venue. The return is the part that fails. Fifteen thousand people leave a show together, roads close around football, and a coach that was easy to park at 6pm can be half a mile away at 10.30pm if nobody agreed a meeting point.
We run this work from Haywards Industrial Park, close to Birmingham Airport and the NEC campus, which is why campus events are operationally simpler for us than a city-centre finish. Which venue are you actually going to?
People mix these up on enquiries, and the gates are not interchangeable.

How early should the coach arrive?
For a concert, plan to unload 45 to 75 minutes before the time you want to be inside, not 45 minutes before the show starts if you also want food. For a conference at the NEC, match the registration time and name the hall. For Villa Park, build in the police plan. Roads that are open at noon are not open at 2.30pm on a 3pm kick-off.
Multiple pickups across Birmingham are normal and they need a limit. Two stops, such as the office and a station, keep the arrival honest. Five stops mean the people collected first have been on the coach for an hour before you have left the city, and you will miss the start.
The return, when everyone leaves together
Write this down and send it to the group before the day.
- One meeting point, described so a stranger could find it. "By the coach" is useless in a crowd.
- A clock time, plus a rule for extra time or a delay. If the show overruns, someone has to tell the driver. That someone needs a number that is not at the bottom of a bag.
- A cutoff. The driver can wait for the time hired. After that, waiting has to be agreed, because of drivers' hours and because the holding point may close.
- A plan for the person who misses it. They make their own way. The coach does not circle the campus.

Festivals, football and alcohol
Alcohol is not permitted on board unless we have agreed it in writing, and it is prohibited by law on journeys to designated sporting events. A football away day is not the moment to assume a quiet drink on the coach is fine. Behaviour that risks the driver, the group or the vehicle can mean a passenger is refused. City-centre venues sit in or next to the Clean Air Zone inside the Middleway. Confirm the vehicle is compliant when you book.
What to send with the enquiry
- The venue name as printed on the ticket, plus hall or stand if you know it.
- Date, doors or kick-off, and whether you need to be early for hospitality.
- Passenger numbers and pickup points.
- Whether it is a return the same night.
- Anyone who needs step-free boarding.

Conferences are not concerts
An NEC exhibition morning is a registration time, a hall number and luggage that might be a pull-along case. The roads are busy but they are predictable. A concert or a match is a crush at one moment. Do not copy a conference plan onto a show at bp pulse LIVE and expect the same pickup. Build the longer buffer, name the meeting point in daylight if you can walk it, and tell the group in writing.
If you are moving delegates who then go to a dinner at the ICC, that is two movements. The campus to Broad Street is not a five-minute hop at 6.30pm. Price them as two, or as one continuous hire with the waiting in between, and say which. A vehicle released after the show will not be outside the restaurant unless that was the booking.

Can you drop us at the NEC and collect us after the show?
Yes. Tell us the hall or the arena. Collection is a meeting point on the campus, agreed in advance, not a drive-around while people finish drinks.
Is bp pulse LIVE the same as Resorts World Arena?
bp pulse LIVE is the arena on the NEC campus, previously known as Resorts World Arena. Resorts World Birmingham is the wider complex next to it. Put the name on your ticket in the enquiry so we use the right gate.
Do you cover Villa Park and Edgbaston?
Yes. Send the fixture, the kick-off or first ball, and where you want to be picked up afterwards. Match-day road plans change the route and the time you must leave Birmingham.
Can you pick up from more than one place?
Yes, usually two stops. More than that on a concert night makes you late. If the group is spread across Sutton Coldfield and Solihull, ask us to price two minibuses against one coach.
What happens if the concert finishes late?
Message the number on the booking as soon as you know. Waiting beyond the hired time has to be agreed. It is not automatically included, because the driver has a legal limit on the day.
