Monarch Airlines Collapse & Rail & Tube Strikes take place across the UK – How have we helped?

Bouden Coach Travel have successfully providing efficient rail replacement services across the UK for many years. This weeks train strikes have been no exception. We have provided transport to the estimated 300,000 passengers who have been left to find an alternative because of the train strike by Southern trains, Merseyrail, Arriva Rail North and Greater Anglia Services.

Bringing travel disruption across the UK southern railway workers that are a part of RMT Union along with other operators have decided to strike, bringing further travel disruption to frustrated commuters also coinciding with the planned closure of Liverpool Lime Street doubling up the inconvenience. Due to plans to remove staff from trains, which would then become driver-only-operated (DOO), up and down the UK the southern train strike have been affecting thousands, however here at Bouden Coach Travel we have come to the rescue, supplying bus hire and coach hire across the country including London, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Manchester.

The latest updates on how the services are running can be found at the Southern Railway website

To further add to disruption across the UK a planned tube strike threatens to shut down London’s entire Undergound network on the 5th of Oct, as tube drivers walk out in a dispute with Transport for London. Coinciding with the England v Slovenia World Cup qualifier at Wembley Stadium, as well as the rail strikes and the collapse of Monarch Airlines a 24-hour strike by London Underground drivers has been set to bring the entire tube network to a halt.

The latest updates for the tube strikes can be found on the Transport for London website

Another travel disruption for the UK travelers is the collapse of Monarch Airlines.

Here’s everything you need to know about collapse of Monarch Airlines.

Monarch was Britain’s longest-surviving airline brand it has now gone into administration, leaving all flights grounded with 110,000 passengers abroad. All flights have now been cancelled and all 300,00 bookings will not be rescheduled as the airline has ceased trading.

But why did Monarch go under?

Terrorism and Brexit uncertainty has undoubtably had an effect on the airline but competition has also been a key player in its decline. As the airline market has become over-saturated, the likes of  Ryanair and EasyJet make a killing on the Mediterranean trips leaving Monarch behind.

A sum of 110,000 passengers have been left stranded abroad because of Monarchs collapse, the emergency flights have been coming into airports up and down the country and here at Bouden Coach Travel we have been called in to help; Supplying our executive and luxury Mercedes Toursimo coaches for passengers from major airports such as Birmingham,  Manchester, Heathrow, Gatwick, Liverpool and many others.
